Clingy
Originally written March 6, 2015

I'm so boring and I'm so insecure
When they go hand in hand then how can we?
Your best friends just don't understand me at all
Call it claustrophobic, it's just time wasting
Dot dot dot dot dot
I try casual to wait for a change
But ectoplasm only gives me away, your way
Stop making me bore all my friends with these songs
It sounds so fake and stupid

I need a night light since my memory's bad
But remember he needs fleshlights to replace what he had
In you
Inside you are in love with the depression you have grown
But on the outside, I'm so far away, you'll never be alone
If you knew how many times I wished for death before we met
You would see why I stick around until your last waking breath
I am the reaper of your sadness, you're the siren to my eyes
So there's no rush but hurry up; I could be reaper of the thighs

I have never been so torn between smiling and frowning
You are naturally born killing iron hearts, I'm Robert Downey
So when you acknowledge me I guess I can stop writing sad songs
That hasn't happened but I have to go to sleep eventually

Blackberry Seed

I can only have so much to say

A dark, luscious coat
Skin so soft
It shines like the moon in the sky
One taste
It's both sour and sweet
Tongue and cheek
Strong and weak
Do and die

Numb tongue
No more taste
Drying throat
Greasy face
Eyes will water
As hands shake
Teeth chatter
Nerves will break
Dumb mouth
Basket case
Shredded toes
Ugly face
Crazy mirror
Double take
You don't matter

Science predicted
The end of you and me

One mind each
Still no speech
Can lay claim each other's lives
Like deep-cleaned butter knives
Useless as talking to me

Statistics
Born from one's own mouth
True but exaggerated to their point

I can only have so much to say
But whenever you hold this gun
I take it away

I can only have so much to say
In a few months you won't want to hear it
Take it from me

A Lack of Closure
Originally written June 29, 2015

I am good friends with every
Shadow that dances around me
A little envelope
Interrupts what I see

I told you dancing was so beautiful
Why would you hide it?
Then I found out we're only
Dancing in my dream

You hope everything's okay
So I grab hold of the stove top
I take the heat since girls like you are hard to find

It's late at night
But I'll stay up to write a song about you
And not to be a creep but here's eleven more that
Fall in line to pass the time

If you count all of the words
Written inside that purple notebook
At least a countless amount
Stands to leave a clue that

I'm really sick of working
Under the weight of someone else
I feel much lighter underneath the weight of you

Promathon

You
Is a word we all take for granted
They always say to know thyself
But no one in this world ever had it

Some play it safe
Some play with me

See what you didn't miss?
Come with me

Here I am
The one you never left
I'm just another me
That got to see
Your parallel lack of interest
Across all worlds
We go from two to infinity
You like it real
I like it in a different reality

I wish that I could reverse science
Professionals don't want to erase us all
But sometimes I wish they'd try it

Your premise is that I've walked through too many doors
The first room looked pretty but it's worthless with no floor

Here I am
The one you never left
I'm just another me
That got to see
Your parallel lack of interest
Across all worlds
We go from two to infinity
You like it real
I remember that differently

Here I am
The one you never left
I'm just another me
That got to see
Your parallel lack of interest
Across all worlds
We go from two to infinity
You like it real
I like it in a different reality

On Fingers and Toes

There's a bathroom mirror you picked out yourself
You're alone but you act like someone's there
Putting words in their mouths
As your confidence lies in drought
From a sun that never rose

You put on a suit that no one wants to see
Because they cannot wear it for themselves
Taking off all our clothes
We count on fingers and toes
Of rare beauties that fall for our beasts

No one
No one
You can't disappoint
No one
Block the sun
You are God until someone else sees

Just outside one night I found a shimmering spring
I could drown but my reflection would not die
All the glass like a tide flew out
To incise the inside
These wounds will always show

I could hide it
I could lie
But I'm not the first to cry
It's a crime until someone else does the same

We are cut from the same cloth
Until the stitching wriggles loose
I'm sure you would gain me
If you had nothing to lose

No one
No one
You can't disappoint
No one
Block the sun
You are God until someone else sees

No one wants to be alone
But everyone needs space
The astronomers cannot even understand
That the lengths of our universe
Are beyond our mortal grasp
Still much weaker than what lies within one hand

Heart Grow Fonder

 I recognize you now
You're the princess stuck inside a dragon's mouth
You brush your own blood from his teeth every day

I'm in the tower too
But if you fly off on his back what can I do?
I wear chainmail that's rain-worn
The dragon has pretty reigns

The royal council cast a curse
I saw a magic mirror showing you reluctantly rehearse
A play you wrote down where the monster is a noble man
So I do all I can
To not break your vision
You already missed him
When he tore down another kingdom in your sleep
I peeped
Because you told me
From no greed
Now my knees ache
From the sentient mistake you summoned

Worrying about
How much I can stand myself
Crowning servitude as my king
I spent so much time living for someone else
I might as well have faked everything

What calms us down?
Acknowledgement of frowns
Summoning our ghosts
I heard distance makes the heart grow fonder
I hope so

Here, two humans running away
Forthright in their emotions
But not in speech
Humans always have something else to say
One silences herself to dissuade
Their pain saying
They will split the turmoil two ways
Knowing this is not a story
But a future fable
Wherein they will both ignore days
Before both end their own abusive game
